What are the rules of a Model United Nations conference?
Broadly speaking, MUN conferences strive to closely emulate the United Nation's rules of procedure, though they may vary slightly between different conferences and different committees. The English College in Prague Model United Nations supplies its applicants with a delegate handbook, available upon registration or request at ecpmun@gmail.com. It is helpful to familiarise yourself with the procedure and vocabulary, especially for beginner delegates, though please do not worry if you do not understand something regarding this conference or MUN debating, as the Student Officers (your Chairs and Deputy Chairs, abbreviated StOff), fellow delegates and all organisers will be available for any questions.
How will the virtual conference of ECPMUN 2020 proceed?
ECPMUN20 will be taking place virtually on the date of 26 July 2020 through the platform of Microsoft Teams. Please do not worry about the technical aspect, as Microsoft Teams is a free software and it is not difficult to use. Delegates and chairs will be briefed on details closer to the date.
Do I need to pay for this conference?
No. While most conference require some form of payment, ECPMUN20 will take place virtually and is therefore free of charge.
